Students in the last year of the MYP engage in a personal project that allows them to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have gained throughout the programme.

IBMYP ASSESSMENT
國際中學文憑課程評估
Students in the last year of the programme also engage in the MYP eAssessment and ePortfolio. These are prepared for throughout the year and culminate in external exams at the end of the academic year. Since these exams are globally recognised, they are a good benchmark for our students as they prepare to enter the DP.

All assessments are based on criteria and involve both students and teachers.

To complement the highest education standards taught by highly qualified staff, UISZ has a robust community, action and service commitment. It helps our students to apply their knowledge in broader settings. We provide volunteer and charity work opportunities, local and overseas study tours, and membership of internationally recognised clubs.

Students at UISZ travel to different regions of China to support the disadvantaged through the programme.

At UISZ, we promote the transfer of information conceptually. Information can be used from subject to subject. Processing information, specifically in individual subject areas, enables our students to become more proficient in new and challenging circumstances, inside and outside of school. The students can demonstrate this in the Year Group Camps and Action for Service projects they undertake during the programme.

Skill development, in tandem with building knowledge, is the key to learning in the MYP as this prepares students better for an ever-changing world. Essential skills are integral to our curriculum and include the ability to research, manage time, work in and with various media, and extend their communication skills.

At UISZ, the MYP is part of an educational continuum that emphasises concepts, ideas, and issues across disciplinary, cultural, national, and geographical boundaries. Within a coherent, comprehensive curriculum framework, the MYP provides academic challenges and encourages life skills that prepare students to become independent life-long learners.
