本周英語主題為“康樂Well Being”,無論何時何地,關愛自己的身體,保持內心愉悅或平靜,都應該是我們學習生活的一部分。
What could be more important than our health? As we know, a strong mind and body are the foundations to a healthy lifestyle.
Mindfulness, nutrition and exercise are the pillar stones of a well rounded constitution and it has been remarkable to see how these concepts have been embraced by the students at GIPSB!
To feel healthy and full of life are vital qualities at the best of times, but have been arguably even more crucial during the recent period.
Despite the recent challenges of studying online, students have embraced the principals at the core of “Well Being Week”and employed them in their daily lives.

Each day, yoga poses modeled by Mr. David have been sent to the homeroom groups on wechat for students to practice at home. Each picture came with it’s own well being message such as “Be kind to yourself today. Remember progress takes time”.
In addition, students have been given meditation guidance and an opportunity to make suggestions on how to improve their learning environment.
孩子們每日收到大衛老師的瑜伽姿勢,并在家練習。孩子們傳回的每張照片都傳遞出康樂信息--比如“今天善待自己吧。”

Students also learned about what it means to eat healthily and even made videos to show the importance of a nutritious diet!

Students were also encouraged to help out around the home. Here Mark from class 202 washes some dishes after lunch. In this way, students are able to understand the importance of responsibility for themselves and others.

The theme even extended to our new reading program Myon where students were assigned books related to the field of health.

In closing, Well Being Week turned out to be a well needed theme for a new and potentially challenging time.

We were all very impressed by how wholeheartedly the students of GIPSB threw themselves into the daily tasks! Students were encouraged to take regular breaks and focus on their health, education and to care for those around them.
