      研究表明,每 68 名孩子中就可能有1名患有自閉癥。以深度了解自閉癥,切實(shí)獲得“多元與包容”社會價(jià)值觀的成長為目標(biāo),一群哈羅深圳十年級和十一年級的學(xué)生利用自己周末的時間參與到主題為《1/68,我們身邊的“星星”》的領(lǐng)航力與服務(wù)拓展項(xiàng)目中。此活動由陳一丹基金會孵化的素養(yǎng)創(chuàng)新教育項(xiàng)目一π YiPai組織發(fā)起。

      The "stars" around us

      Research shows that 1 out of every 68 children needs special need education. Aiming to raise awareness and to promote community support around kids with ASD, a group of Year 10 and 11 Harrow Shenzhen students have been spending their weekends on an 8-week project linked with the YiPai Education Innovation Project sponsored by Chen Yidan Foundation as part of their extended LSA programme.

      通過工作坊、機(jī)構(gòu)探訪、方案路演等多樣化的學(xué)習(xí)活動,在授課老師的指引下,這些哈羅學(xué)子以小組為單位圍繞三大主題不斷探索:1)何為自閉癥譜系障礙?2)自閉癥兒童家庭面臨著哪些困難?3)如何利用社會宣傳策略來有效緩解其中的一些困境?

      Through a variety of learning activities such as themed workshops, organisation visits and programme roadshows, those Harrovians have been guided to conduct research and work in small groups in order to complete 3 learning milestones – 1) What is the meaning of ASD? 2) What are the difficulties faced by families with ASD kids? and 3) How to take advantage of social advocacy strategies to effectively alleviate some of these plights?

      六位哈羅學(xué)子分別與其他學(xué)校的學(xué)生們組成兩個研究小組,一組研究自閉癥人群是否有特色長相,另一組著重關(guān)注自閉癥兒童融合教育的困境。

      歷時八周,學(xué)生的宣導(dǎo)方案終于落地,并向大家進(jìn)行了項(xiàng)目成果展示。

      The six participanting Harrovians formed two research groups with students from other schools. One group studied whether people with autism have distinctive looks, and the other group focused on the plight of children with autism in inclusive education.

      After eight weeks of research and study, the students finalised and presented their project to all.

      By taking part in this project, students have not only developed their critical thinking, creativity, dedication and care, but have also been demonstrating many of the Harrow Leadership Attributes:

      Making just and responsible choices - They stood up for a cause that they believe is important and in doing so gained true growth in the social values of diversity and inclusion.

      Solving problems collaboratively - they worked together to carry out social investigation, needs analysis and social advocacy with professional methodologies and tools.

      Excellent bravery was shown by students facing challenges with determination and being mature and confident when introducing themselves to the public, which was undoubtedly is not an easy thing to do.

      They worked as team and met with the general public to fill out surveys. They solved problems creatively and adapted their survey to suit the needs of the audience.
