課程框架
我們的課程在基礎(chǔ)型課程的框架下，結(jié)合了探究型課程和拓展型課程。
我們嚴(yán)格按照國(guó)家課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和深圳市年度課程計(jì)劃完成教學(xué)內(nèi)容。與此同時(shí)，我們以項(xiàng)目學(xué)習(xí)為主，結(jié)合學(xué)校及區(qū)域特色，利用校內(nèi)外等多方資源，充分挖掘?qū)W生自主能動(dòng)性，強(qiáng)調(diào)以解決現(xiàn)實(shí)為題為入口，打破學(xué)科之間，校園和社會(huì)之間的界限，通過(guò)主題式跨學(xué)科探究，開(kāi)展深度學(xué)習(xí)。再根據(jù)實(shí)際情況及學(xué)生需求，以限定性拓展和非限定性拓展兩種形式，分別開(kāi)設(shè)人文科技學(xué)術(shù)課程，健康生活素養(yǎng)，校園社團(tuán)活動(dòng)、體育活動(dòng)、社區(qū)實(shí)踐和服務(wù)課程、中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化、正念教育等多項(xiàng)課程。
語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)
優(yōu)質(zhì)的語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)是我校的特色之一。我們采用“一師一語(yǔ)言”雙班主任制沉浸式雙語(yǔ)教學(xué)，結(jié)合來(lái)自哥倫比亞大學(xué)的讀寫(xiě)計(jì)劃，有效培養(yǎng)學(xué)生自主閱讀及寫(xiě)作的能力。
我們還鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生創(chuàng)作繪本，創(chuàng)作繪本不光練習(xí)了語(yǔ)言和繪畫(huà)的運(yùn)用，還增加了學(xué)生的自信心和自豪感。
我們還為有需要的學(xué)生設(shè)立了EAL課程，包含了小組課以及一對(duì)一單獨(dú)授課，為不同程度的學(xué)生們提供額外的支持。

Course Overview
Curriculum Framework
Our courses are a combination of inquiry-based courses and extended courses within the framework of foundational courses.
We strictly follow the national curriculum standards and Shenzhen annual curriculum plan to complete the teaching content.At the same time, we focus on project-based learning, combine school and regional characteristics, and use multiple resources inside and outside the school, fully tap students "independent initiative, emphasize solving real-life problems, break the boundaries between disciplines, campus and society, and carry out deep learning through interdisciplinary inquiry.According to students" needs, a number of courses such as humanities, health and wellness, club activities, sports, mindfulness education are set up in two forms: limited or non-limited expansion.
Literacy
Quality literacy and language learning is one of the key features at VPA.We adopt the immersion bilingual teaching system of "one teacher, one language", combined with the literacy program from Columbia University, to effectively cultivate students" ability to read and write independently.
We also encourage students to draw their own story books. By doing so, students can not only practice their language and drawing ability, but also boost their confidence.
We also have EAL lessons for students who need extra support, the lessons include one-on-one lessons and group lessons for students with different needs.

校園環(huán)境及配套服務(wù)
背靠大南山，出門(mén)即是荔林公園，VPA因此享有“山水校園”之名。
我們的戶外場(chǎng)地占地2萬(wàn)多平方米，建有足球場(chǎng)、籃球場(chǎng)，以及網(wǎng)球場(chǎng)。
校內(nèi)除了基礎(chǔ)教室還設(shè)有一間黑匣子劇場(chǎng)，可容納百余人，還有一間獨(dú)具設(shè)計(jì)感的DEAR（Drop Everything and Read）圖書(shū)館，讓孩子們可以享受閱讀，以及精美的咖啡廳，供全校教職員工在課余時(shí)間使用。

Environment
In front of the Da Nan Shan and next to the Lilin Park, VPA has the name of "school of mountains and waters."
Our outdoor field covers more than 20,000 square meters with football, basketball and tennis courts.
In addition to the basic classrooms, our school also has a black box theater, which can accommodate more than 100 people, a unique design of the DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) library for students to enjoy reading, and an exquisite cafe for people to use in their spare time.

Multiple Pathways
VPA has already prepared multiple pathways for students with different needs.
小升初:
All students from our VPA elementary can go straight up to middle school after meeting the basic requirements
初升高:
graduates from our middle school will be given priority in admission to VSA;
or they can attend other high schools with IBDP, A-Level, AP, DSE, etc;
we are also planning to have our high school in the future.
維校畢業(yè)生去向包括：
University of Cambridge,University of Oxford,Imperial College London, UCL, LSE, Stanford University, University of Chicago, Duke University, Boston University, NYU, UCBerkeley, USC, NWU, etc.
