行而不輟，履踐致遠(yuǎn)。在過(guò)去的這一年里，達(dá)羅捷派學(xué)子在不同的學(xué)術(shù)領(lǐng)域中熠熠發(fā)光，在老師的指導(dǎo)和家長(zhǎng)的支持下，砥礪深耕，奮楫篤行，在各大國(guó)際賽事中都取得了優(yōu)異成績(jī)，獲得多項(xiàng)國(guó)家級(jí)榮譽(yù)獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)并進(jìn)軍全球賽，與全世界的優(yōu)秀學(xué)子同場(chǎng)競(jìng)技。各項(xiàng)學(xué)術(shù)比賽獲獎(jiǎng)播報(bào)Hi World世界文化日：學(xué)生將以創(chuàng)新的項(xiàng)目式學(xué)習(xí)的方式進(jìn)行課題研究。每年全球超過(guò)60萬(wàn)學(xué)子、近3萬(wàn)名老師參與，最終約3000名頂尖學(xué)生脫穎而出，來(lái)到全球站。他們根據(jù)官方給定的主題自定課題，自選領(lǐng)域，大到人文歷史、文化傳媒、科技建筑、商業(yè)金融、體育運(yùn)動(dòng)等多個(gè)宏觀領(lǐng)域；小到一則家庭的故事、一門學(xué)科的起源、一個(gè)硬幣的誕生等鮮為人知的奧秘。所有參與的學(xué)生均可獲得NHD官方認(rèn)證的活動(dòng)參與證書；所有獲得最佳作品獎(jiǎng)的選手，將晉級(jí)NHD中國(guó)站。

我校1個(gè)項(xiàng)目組5名同學(xué)參賽榮獲全國(guó)紀(jì)錄片金獎(jiǎng)；

USAD (United States Academic Decathlon) 美國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)十項(xiàng)全能比賽 ：美國(guó)首屈一指的高中生綜合學(xué)術(shù)競(jìng)賽平臺(tái)，迄今已經(jīng)擁有近五十年歷史。USAD憑借跨學(xué)科競(jìng)賽內(nèi)容和極高的學(xué)術(shù)價(jià)值而享有盛名，被譽(yù)為“通往世界名校的主題通識(shí)學(xué)術(shù)挑戰(zhàn)”，每年都有超過(guò)2萬(wàn)名頂尖高中生參與其中，被視為海外名校的敲門磚。在過(guò)去相當(dāng)多的年份中，美國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)十項(xiàng)全能的全美冠軍隊(duì)伍都受到時(shí)任美國(guó)總統(tǒng)的接見和表彰。我校9名同學(xué)參賽共攬獲16個(gè)獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)；他們是：平浩然、李云清、李玉兒、林佳一、張瀚元、劉思遠(yuǎn)、劉瀚鉑、許施博、柳天樂(lè)CTB（China Thinks Big）全球華人創(chuàng)新大賽 ：China Thinks Big是全球范圍極具影響力的華人青少年跨學(xué)科挑戰(zhàn)項(xiàng)目，從最熟悉的身邊世界開始，發(fā)現(xiàn)和提出一個(gè)想要研究的社會(huì)問(wèn)題，通過(guò)學(xué)術(shù)研究和時(shí)間行動(dòng)來(lái)改善或解決問(wèn)題，成就自己的社會(huì)的影響力。CTB歷屆獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)咧性叱龆辔皇∈懈呖紶钤?shù)百位哈佛耶魯?shù)瘸４禾偌?jí)世界名校錄取者，數(shù)千位世界知名學(xué)府和國(guó)內(nèi)頂尖高校錄取者。我校1個(gè)項(xiàng)目組3名同學(xué)參賽，榮獲全球站國(guó)際級(jí)最高榮譽(yù)，全球第三名；她們是：陳彬芮、杜羽瑄、郭詩(shī)雨。National STEM League 中學(xué)生STEM大聯(lián)盟：美國(guó)頂尖頂尖理?院校主辦，?含?量活動(dòng)之一，將四大最具創(chuàng)新性和唯一一個(gè)將工程、編程、數(shù)學(xué)、商業(yè)和藝術(shù)四大學(xué)術(shù)板塊打通的 STEM 活動(dòng)，通過(guò)模擬運(yùn)營(yíng)科技賽車公司并擔(dān)任不同角色來(lái)完成真正的團(tuán)隊(duì)項(xiàng)目式學(xué)習(xí)。在活動(dòng)中，以團(tuán)隊(duì)為小組，模擬?家賽?科技公司運(yùn)營(yíng)，完成比賽后，將收獲高含金量證書，并為升讀大學(xué)打下堅(jiān)實(shí)基礎(chǔ)。我校1個(gè)項(xiàng)目組5名同學(xué)參賽共攬獲4個(gè)獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)；他們是：楊子墨、鄭家彤、肖杰銘、王子杰、賈昊澎；National Academic Quiz Tournaments NAQT超級(jí)碗競(jìng)賽:24年歷史的全球跨學(xué)科知識(shí)競(jìng)答賽，NAQT通過(guò)搶答的方式考察11個(gè)不同領(lǐng)域的高中學(xué)術(shù)與常識(shí)。每周進(jìn)行排位賽，今年于7月上旬開始中國(guó)站比賽，與往屆知名NAQT獲獎(jiǎng)團(tuán)隊(duì)切磋，為今后升讀世界頂尖學(xué)府競(jìng)答社團(tuán)做好充足準(zhǔn)備。個(gè)人賽中我校3位同學(xué)參賽攬獲5個(gè)獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)；團(tuán)隊(duì)賽中參賽小組8人參賽攬獲3個(gè)獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)；他們是：范曦文、黎宇軒、何湘濡、蘭琄琪、李昂、謝國(guó)睿、楊璟華、朱沛然。International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition IGEM國(guó)際基因工程機(jī)器大賽：創(chuàng)始于2003年，每年由美國(guó)麻省理工學(xué)院（Massachusetts Institute ofTechnology，MIT）主辦，是合成生物學(xué)領(lǐng)域的國(guó)際性學(xué)術(shù)競(jìng)賽。國(guó)際基因工程機(jī)器大賽涵蓋多學(xué)科，參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)需要利用標(biāo)準(zhǔn)生物模塊（Biobricks）來(lái)構(gòu)建基因回路、建立有效的數(shù)學(xué)模型，實(shí)現(xiàn)對(duì)精致復(fù)雜人工生物系統(tǒng)（artificial biosystem）的預(yù)測(cè)、操縱和測(cè)量以完成比賽。我校2名同學(xué)參賽，其所在戰(zhàn)隊(duì)榮獲高中組全球金獎(jiǎng)、高中組全球十佳戰(zhàn)隊(duì)并獲得多個(gè)全球級(jí)別獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)提名；他們是：連文哲、王子杰。The World Scholar"s Cup（WSC）世界學(xué)者杯：由Mr. Daniel Berdichevsky成立，以培養(yǎng)8-18歲“青年學(xué)者”為目的，每年有超過(guò)70個(gè)國(guó)家，140+城市，近5萬(wàn)名代表同臺(tái)競(jìng)技，140場(chǎng)區(qū)域賽，6場(chǎng)全球賽，全球排名角逐耶魯大學(xué)冠軍賽。以知識(shí)競(jìng)答、協(xié)同創(chuàng)作（團(tuán)隊(duì)寫作）、知識(shí)挑戰(zhàn)、團(tuán)隊(duì)辯論賽的形式，來(lái)自全球的青少年圍繞科學(xué)、社會(huì)學(xué)、歷史、藝術(shù)&音樂(lè)、文學(xué)、通識(shí)的6大學(xué)科進(jìn)行跨學(xué)科學(xué)術(shù)挑戰(zhàn)，“小學(xué)者”們?cè)谶@一場(chǎng)金牌國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)盛宴中從更多角度和層面提升學(xué)術(shù)素養(yǎng)，用輕松的方式討論嚴(yán)肅的全球議題，找到學(xué)習(xí)的真正樂(lè)趣。我校1個(gè)項(xiàng)目組3名同學(xué)參賽榮獲（團(tuán)隊(duì)答題）項(xiàng)目高中組銀獎(jiǎng)；他們是：侯子安、江柔、王子杰。MODEL APEC：通過(guò)模擬APEC會(huì)議的形式，亞太地區(qū)十幾個(gè)國(guó)家的中學(xué)生群體一起參與到APEC以及亞太經(jīng)濟(jì)合作一體化的進(jìn)程中來(lái)。大賽全國(guó)總冠軍將作為中國(guó)青年代表參加該年的APEC領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人非正式會(huì)議相關(guān)活動(dòng)。我校1名同學(xué)參賽榮獲全國(guó)三等獎(jiǎng)她是：馮嵩International Linguistics Olympiad 國(guó)際語(yǔ)言學(xué)奧林匹克競(jìng)賽：是國(guó)際科學(xué)奧林匹克競(jìng)賽之一。它面向全世界的高中生，以鍛煉和培養(yǎng)年輕人的思維能力、團(tuán)隊(duì)合作能力和問(wèn)題解決能力而著稱。在這項(xiàng)為期5天的賽事中，來(lái)自世界各地，擁有不同文化背景的年輕人將面對(duì)面地進(jìn)行緊張、有趣的競(jìng)賽和交流，鍛煉能力、增進(jìn)了解。我校1名同學(xué)參賽榮獲專業(yè)組金獎(jiǎng)，成功入選中國(guó)隊(duì)代表隊(duì)他是：尹浩陽(yáng)Student Investment Challenge 中學(xué)生投資學(xué)術(shù)活動(dòng)：SIC旨在培養(yǎng)學(xué)生對(duì)投資及金融興趣，幫助中學(xué)生養(yǎng)成良好的投資人品性，并不斷加深對(duì)于各行業(yè)領(lǐng)域的理解，著眼于中學(xué)生學(xué)術(shù)及職業(yè)的長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)發(fā)展。我校1名同學(xué)參賽，其所在戰(zhàn)隊(duì)榮獲團(tuán)隊(duì)最佳投資策略、投資策略展示獎(jiǎng)；她是：侯子安。American Mathematics Competition美國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)競(jìng)賽 AMC：由美國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)協(xié)會(huì)舉辦的美國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)競(jìng)賽，是世界上目前信度和效度最高的數(shù)學(xué)考試。AMC試題研發(fā)由美國(guó)AMC委員會(huì)全權(quán)負(fù)責(zé)，該委員會(huì)成員皆來(lái)自MIT、Harvar、Princeton等全美一流學(xué)府。我校1名同學(xué)參賽榮獲該項(xiàng)目卓越獎(jiǎng)她是：張生雪卉

British Physics Olympic 英國(guó)物理奧林匹克競(jìng)賽：是英國(guó)最高水平的高中物理競(jìng)賽。BPhO英國(guó)中學(xué)物理奧林匹克競(jìng)賽，是由牛津大學(xué)物理系、英國(guó)物理學(xué)會(huì)和 Odaen基金會(huì)組成，物理類含金量最高的國(guó)際意賽之一。

我校1名同學(xué)參賽榮獲該項(xiàng)目銀獎(jiǎng)他是：張瀚元一千次振翅后，離天空更近。一萬(wàn)里跋涉后，征途更遼遠(yuǎn)。通過(guò)這累累碩果，我們并不難看到JPEDer夯實(shí)的學(xué)術(shù)基礎(chǔ)、強(qiáng)大的跨學(xué)科學(xué)習(xí)能力、創(chuàng)造力、團(tuán)隊(duì)協(xié)作能力。

為什么達(dá)羅捷派鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生參與各項(xiàng)國(guó)際賽事？

托爾斯泰說(shuō)過(guò)：“世界上只有兩種人：一種是觀望者，一種是行動(dòng)者。”達(dá)羅捷派非常重視理論與現(xiàn)實(shí)的結(jié)合，每學(xué)期學(xué)校都會(huì)為同學(xué)們銜接多項(xiàng)大型國(guó)際賽事以及優(yōu)質(zhì)學(xué)術(shù)資源。

JPED競(jìng)賽報(bào)名介紹

每一年，達(dá)羅捷派學(xué)子都會(huì)通過(guò)不同學(xué)術(shù)類別的競(jìng)賽，多維度拓展自己的能力，不斷探索自己擅長(zhǎng)的領(lǐng)域。在一次次實(shí)踐中獲得更加多元的視角，學(xué)會(huì)打破學(xué)科的界限，拓展學(xué)術(shù)知識(shí)深度，了解更廣闊的學(xué)術(shù)領(lǐng)域。在不斷前行中不斷更新，在不斷更新中持續(xù)探索。JPED競(jìng)賽說(shuō)明文件部分截取升學(xué)指導(dǎo)團(tuán)隊(duì)也會(huì)根據(jù)學(xué)生不同的愛好、特長(zhǎng)和升學(xué)需要，對(duì)學(xué)生進(jìn)行1對(duì)1的指導(dǎo)，幫助他們匹配最適合自己的競(jìng)賽類別。01 知行合一，夯實(shí)學(xué)術(shù)基礎(chǔ)參與學(xué)術(shù)類競(jìng)賽，不僅對(duì)本學(xué)科的學(xué)習(xí)知識(shí)有促進(jìn)作用，其競(jìng)賽考察的知識(shí)點(diǎn)也與本學(xué)科內(nèi)容息息相關(guān)，同時(shí)難度上會(huì)略高于平時(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)難度。這在一定程度上不僅幫助學(xué)生夯實(shí)日常學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容，更能夠在專業(yè)方向上有明顯側(cè)重，幫助學(xué)生加深對(duì)學(xué)科知識(shí)的探索，同時(shí)也能提高校內(nèi)成績(jī)。

JPED Unit Project

學(xué)校注重因材施教，不僅在競(jìng)賽選擇中根據(jù)在校學(xué)生的特質(zhì)與特長(zhǎng)進(jìn)行一一匹配，更為每支戰(zhàn)隊(duì)配備指導(dǎo)教練。通過(guò)教師的引導(dǎo)和輔助，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生更加全面的對(duì)知識(shí)進(jìn)行學(xué)習(xí)。

JPED進(jìn)行競(jìng)賽學(xué)術(shù)輔導(dǎo)每位老師不僅將自身專業(yè)傳授給學(xué)生，更能夠結(jié)合競(jìng)賽要求，將涉獵學(xué)科融入其中，使得學(xué)生能夠全面地對(duì)知識(shí)進(jìn)行掌握，這使得學(xué)生們?cè)趥滟愡^(guò)程中受到了極大的支持。02 多維培養(yǎng)，豐富綜合能力國(guó)際性賽事不僅是對(duì)學(xué)生學(xué)術(shù)知識(shí)的考驗(yàn)，其涉獵之廣，強(qiáng)度之大，與時(shí)事聯(lián)系緊密，對(duì)參賽學(xué)生的知識(shí)儲(chǔ)備、創(chuàng)新精神、批判性思維、跨學(xué)科學(xué)習(xí)等能力都是不小的考驗(yàn)。需要學(xué)生能夠通過(guò)實(shí)踐活動(dòng)擁有發(fā)現(xiàn)問(wèn)題、解決問(wèn)題的能力。NSL參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)成員是第一次參與此類競(jìng)賽。籌備過(guò)程中他們分為工程組及商務(wù)組，每組同學(xué)各司其職，從產(chǎn)品設(shè)計(jì)、外型包裝、產(chǎn)品建模生產(chǎn)、商業(yè)運(yùn)營(yíng)、社團(tuán)運(yùn)營(yíng)等每一個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)，利用自己所學(xué)知識(shí)共同完成團(tuán)隊(duì)的0到1組建，并在競(jìng)賽中取得優(yōu)異的成績(jī)。NSL 競(jìng)賽中工程部的同學(xué)對(duì)賽車進(jìn)行維護(hù)

國(guó)際性賽事大多需要以團(tuán)隊(duì)的形式參加，旨在通過(guò)競(jìng)賽更好地培養(yǎng)學(xué)生之間的團(tuán)隊(duì)協(xié)作能力，在參與競(jìng)賽的過(guò)程中，提高溝通合作能力、表達(dá)能力、應(yīng)急處理能力。鍛煉批判性思維、時(shí)間管理及統(tǒng)籌策劃能力；

參與競(jìng)賽不僅是培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的創(chuàng)造意識(shí)和創(chuàng)新精神，更是幫助學(xué)生的綜合素質(zhì)以及動(dòng)手能力得到全面提高。

03 探索方向，確認(rèn)發(fā)展目標(biāo)

學(xué)生個(gè)人興趣愛好的發(fā)掘及培養(yǎng)對(duì)未來(lái)的學(xué)習(xí)、生活起著至關(guān)重要的作用。在學(xué)習(xí)中，興趣的引導(dǎo)往往是最好的老師，能夠幫助學(xué)生主動(dòng)思考鉆研。同時(shí)也能夠通過(guò)競(jìng)賽幫助學(xué)生從興趣愛好出發(fā)，對(duì)專業(yè)國(guó)際課程進(jìn)行全面了解，確認(rèn)未來(lái)發(fā)展目標(biāo)。Hi World 參賽成員均為JPED High School Prep 的成員，他們年齡較小，正是通過(guò)不斷嘗試進(jìn)行探索的階段。小組成員對(duì)中國(guó)古建筑比較有興趣，同時(shí)因?yàn)橐咔橛绊戇x擇了交通較為方便以及有代表性的天壇作為研究目標(biāo)。他們主要針對(duì)于天壇的歷史背景，建筑構(gòu)造以及帶來(lái)的影響等方面做了研究。Hi World 參賽團(tuán)隊(duì)的任務(wù)劃分采訪古建筑保護(hù)方向?qū)＜?p>通過(guò)競(jìng)賽，他們?cè)趯?shí)踐中驗(yàn)證，在驗(yàn)證中探索，在探索中尋找，確認(rèn)未來(lái)為之奮斗的專業(yè)目標(biāo)。

世界不是用來(lái)看的，是用來(lái)行走的，走遠(yuǎn)一點(diǎn)，才能離它更近一些。正如康德所說(shuō)：要想有教養(yǎng)，就要去了解全世界都在談?wù)摵退妓鞯淖蠲篮玫臇|西。JPEDer中絕大多數(shù)都是行動(dòng)者，他們通過(guò)競(jìng)賽去看世界的廣闊，收獲對(duì)自我的肯定和成長(zhǎng)，在過(guò)程中得到榮譽(yù)和掌聲，也給予他人鼓勵(lì)和信心。

一切生長(zhǎng)拔節(jié)，都在看不見的地方。達(dá)羅捷派愿意將世界引入每一個(gè)學(xué)子眼簾，讓他們從這里邁向世界。

今年暑假我參加了Hi World世界文化日的比賽，這次比賽讓我感受良多收獲頗豐。

今年三月份我們開始準(zhǔn)備比賽，確定主題的時(shí)候一切都很順利，我們選擇了紀(jì)錄片的形式參賽，我以為這個(gè)比賽也就這樣也不難。后來(lái)因?yàn)橐咔槲覀兩狭司W(wǎng)課，只能在線上交流，因?yàn)橐咔楣芸匚覀円矝](méi)有辦法統(tǒng)一時(shí)間集齊所有人進(jìn)行拍攝，導(dǎo)致我們?nèi)チ撕脦状危诩粢曨l的時(shí)候也只能在線上傳視頻，所以我們好多的畫面都糊了。比賽前要交的東西很多，我們的紀(jì)錄片來(lái)來(lái)回回改了好幾天。參賽的時(shí)候，我認(rèn)為我們的演講不算特別好，我們還以為我們得不到什么獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)了，結(jié)果出乎意料，我們是金獎(jiǎng)。

通過(guò)了這一次比賽我明白，任何的好成績(jī)?cè)谌〉贸晒Φ慕Y(jié)局前，都建立在充分的準(zhǔn)備之上。

“NSL是一項(xiàng)非常具有挑戰(zhàn)性的競(jìng)賽，籌備競(jìng)賽的過(guò)程無(wú)疑很大程度上地提升了我的能力。作為2021年9月份的新生，長(zhǎng)達(dá)半年以上的備賽過(guò)程增強(qiáng)了我與他人的聯(lián)結(jié)，讓我在校園里更有歸屬感。作為車隊(duì)中商業(yè)部的同學(xué)，我們的商業(yè)指導(dǎo)-張露敏老師充滿熱情和啟發(fā)性的點(diǎn)撥讓我最終完成了一份非常有競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力的商業(yè)計(jì)劃書和一系列周邊產(chǎn)品，為車隊(duì)錄制了宣傳視頻并分享到了我們?cè)贐站賬號(hào)上。我們收獲頗豐，在半年的時(shí)間里提交了所有商業(yè)部分的附加挑戰(zhàn)并最終在層層競(jìng)爭(zhēng)中得到了“最佳商業(yè)計(jì)劃書”和“商業(yè)創(chuàng)新”的獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)。同時(shí)，在非常專業(yè)的工程老師周宏亮的支持下，車隊(duì)勢(shì)如破竹，一路晉級(jí)到了全球賽，取得了不菲的成績(jī)。-鄭家彤““Hi!大家好，我是侯子安！在2022學(xué)年，我一共參加了兩項(xiàng)競(jìng)賽——世界學(xué)者杯和SIC青少年投資大賽。經(jīng)過(guò)努力，世界學(xué)者杯晉級(jí)了全國(guó)賽，SIC也獲得了一金一銀。說(shuō)實(shí)話，在比賽的過(guò)程中并不容易，隨時(shí)都要克服困難——看材料的困難，想放棄的困難，磨合的困難，懶惰的困難…很幸運(yùn)的是，我們有隊(duì)友，有彼此。我們互相鼓勵(lì)，互相磨合，分工明確，一起克服了困難。當(dāng)然，在競(jìng)賽中也學(xué)到了很多東西。例如：藝術(shù)鑒賞，如何炒股，如何寫報(bào)告，如何發(fā)揮每個(gè)人的優(yōu)勢(shì)…競(jìng)賽也讓我交到了很多新朋友！總之，歡迎大家積極參與競(jìng)賽，收獲的不僅僅是獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)！-侯子安““

2021年10月，我與同學(xué)一起參加NSL，擔(dān)任隊(duì)長(zhǎng)，帶領(lǐng)隊(duì)伍取得了全國(guó)前五名的成績(jī)。這次比賽的過(guò)程是艱苦的，但是由于團(tuán)隊(duì)的共同努力，我們最終取得了滿意的成績(jī)。根據(jù)我賽前的部署，車隊(duì)分為兩個(gè)重點(diǎn)部門:商務(wù)部和工程部，分別負(fù)責(zé)拉力賽商業(yè)計(jì)劃的展示和進(jìn)站維護(hù)。

在比賽開始前，大家都覺(jué)得很難有好的表現(xiàn)，當(dāng)我們發(fā)現(xiàn)其他隊(duì)伍的工程部大多有四五個(gè)工程師，而我們因?yàn)槿耸植蛔悖荒芊峙鋬蓚€(gè)工程師，其中一個(gè)工程師當(dāng)時(shí)生病了，大家都很沮喪。另外，其他車隊(duì)不僅準(zhǔn)備了一些備用的替換車，還準(zhǔn)備了大量的備用電池等物資，而我們只有一輛賽車和三節(jié)電池。由于缺少人手和物資，每個(gè)人都感到沮喪。

In the past year, JPED students had received glamorous achievements in various academic fields, under the guidance and support of teachers and parents, practiced hard as a team, and received excellent results in major international competitions, including numerous national honorary awards, competing against outstanding scholars from around the world.

Winning reports from various academic competition

Hi World Culture Day: Students conduct research projects and learn by doing. Every year, more than 600,000 students and nearly 30,000 teachers around the world participate, and only about 3,000 top students qualify for the global round. The participating groups decide their own topics based on the given official theme, and selected their own fields of study, ranging from humanities and history, culture and media, science and technology architecture, business and finance, to sports and other fields. Ideas range from family anecdote, to the origin of academic subject, to the birth of a coin as well as other mysteries. All participants receive an NHD-certified certificate of participation in the event; All contestants who won the Best Work Award will advance to NHD China.One group consisting of 5 students was awarded group documentary national gold in the junior division;They are: Sophia Xue, Allison Guo, Joan Wei, Peter Zhang, Ivan Yu.

USAD (United States Academic Decathlon):The most prestigious academic competition platform for high schoolers in the United States with a history of nearly fifty years. known for its wide coverage and academic prestige, the USAD has being honored as the “gate to top higher education opportunities", and more than 20,000 outstanding high school students participate each year, also commonly regarded as the stepping stone to education overseas. In the past years, high achieving national champion teams were honored by the president of the United States.

9 members of the JPED community attended this competition, receiving 16 awards;

They are: Jason Ping, Jim Li, Jane Li, Aone Lin, Hanyuan Zhang, Frank Liu, Michael Liu, Edison Xu, Dino Liu;CTB (China Thinks Big) Global Chinese Innovation Competition:China Thinks Big is a interdisciplinary and highly influential challenge participated by Chinese people all over the world. Starting from the surrounding environments, participants discover and select societal problems they would like to address, and then propose solutions after series of formal academic research and action, being the change they want to see. Among the previous winners of CTB, many scored the highest in their state, hundreds were admitted to Harvard, Yale and other Ivy League universities, and thousands were admitted to top institutions both domestic and world-wide.3 students from the JPED community formed a single group and received top honors at the global round, placing third world-wide;They are: Rachel Chen, Aimee Du, and Sherry GuoNational STEM League (STEM League for Middle School Students):Hosted by the top STEM education institutions in the United States, one of most prestigious events out there, merges innovation with engineering, programming, math, business, math, and arts, and is the only STEM related event able to do so. Participants simulates a car racing company, each member taking on different roles, and learn by doing and as a group. Through operating a race car company simulation and completing a track race participants will receive a high-content certificate that lays a solid foundation for both applying to and further learning in higher education institutions.5JPED students collaborated as a single unit and received 4 distinct honors in this event;They are: Hebe Yang, Abigail Zheng, Harry Xiao, Jerry Wang, Jarvis PengNational Academic Quiz Tournaments (NAQT Super Bowl): An interdisciplinary quiz with 24 years of history that tests its participants on general knowledge from 11 academic fields. Qualifying competitions are held every week, and this year, the China round will be held in early July, to battle against previous winning teams, and to prepare for the future admission to the top universities’ quiz bowl clubs.3 JPED students participated in the individual round and received 5 awards;1 group consisting on 8 JPED students participated in the group round and received 3 awards;They are: Steve Fan, Andrew Li, Nina He, Daisy Lan, Leon Li, Ray Xie, John Yang, Elina Zhu.International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition IGEM International Genetic Engineering Machine Competition: Founded in 2003 and hosted annually by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the IGEM is an international academic competition specializing inBiosynthesis. The International Genetic Engineering Machines Competition is multidisciplinary, and participating teams need to use standard biobricks to build genetic circuits, establish effective mathematical models, and predict, manipulate, measure complex artificial biosystems to complete the competition.2 JPED students participated in this competition, their competing teams rewarded high school division global gold award, top ten high school teams globally, and was nominated for several global awards.They are:Peter Lian,Jerry Wang.The World Scholar"s Cup (WSC):Founded by Mr. Daniel Berdichevsky, the WSC educate "young scholars" aged 8-18, coming from 70 countries, 140+ cities, with 50,000 participants, 140 regional rounds, 6 global rounds, and the final round held at Yale university itself. Participants are being tested In the forms of individual and group knowledge quizzes, collaborative writing, and team debate., young people from all over the world meet academic challenges around six subjects: science, social studies, history, art & music, literature, and general studies. Participants face off global issues and learn in a fun and interactive way.One group consisting of 3 JPED students participated in this competition and was awarded silver in the “Team bowl” event；They are: Annie Hou, Ashley Jiang, Jerry WangMODEL APEC:Through the formof mock APEC conferences, secondary school students from more than a dozen countries in the Asia-Pacific region participate in the process of Asia-pacific integration and economic cooperation. The national champion of the competition will participate as the Chinese youth representative of this year"s informal APEC Economic Leaders" Meeting.One JPED student participated in this event and was received national third class awardShe is: Linda Feng

International Linguistics Olympiad:is one of the international Olympiads. It targets high school students from all over the world and is known for developing young minds’ critical thinking skills, teamwork abilities, and problem-solving skills. During this five-day event, young people from all over the world and from different cultural backgrounds will face off in intense and fun competitions to hone their abilities and increase their understanding.

One JPED student attended this event and was awarded gold, also selected into the Chinese national team.

Student Investment Challenge Academic: SIC aims to cultivate students" interest in investment and finance, it helps middle school students to develop what it needs to become a good investor, and deepen their understanding of various industries, focusing on the long-term academic and professional development of secondary school students.One JPED student participated in this event, her participating team rewarded Best strategy showcase-silver, and Best strategy report-gold.She is: Annie HouAmerican Mathematics Competition (AMC): The American Mathematics Competition - hosted by the American Mathematical Association - is the most reliable and valid mathematics test in the world. AMC test questions are developed by the AMC Committee of the United States, Whose members are from MIT, Harvard, Princeton and other top universities in the United States.1 JPED student participated in this competition and was given the distinction rewardShe is: Rita ZhangBritish Physics Olympiad: The most prestigious high school physics competition in the UK. Why JPED recomments students to participate in variousinternational competition?

Tolstoy once said said: "There are only two kinds of people in the world: those who spectate and those who do." JPED finds the integration of theory and reality very important; every semester the school connects students with a number of large-scale international competitions and high-quality academic resources.

Every year, JPED students enhance their abilities in different ways and in different fields through competitions in different academic categories, and constant exploration in the fields of interest. Students are exposed to multiple perspectives practice, learn to break the boundaries of disciplines, expand the depth of academic knowledge, and understand a broader academic field. To update our thoughts and perspectives while we go forward, to explore while we continue.

02 Multi-dimensional cultivation to enrich comprehensive ability

Competitions are not only a test of intellects but also a test of their academic range and intensity, challenging the student’s knowledge range, innovative spirit, critical thinking abilities, access of interdisciplinary knowledge, and other skills. Students learn to solve and identify problems by taking plans into action.

The NSL team members are completely new to this competition. In the preparation phase, they separated into two distinct departments, engineering and business; each department performed their own duties, from product design, aesthetics, product prototype production, business operation, community operation to other tasks, using knowledge conjointly to complete to full puzzle. They ended up receiving outstanding results.

Most international competitions requires a team, which aims to enhance teamwork abilities among the participants, and improve communication and cooperation, self expression and working under a time limit. 03Exploring direction and confirming development goals

The discovery and development of interests and hobbies plays a vital role in future learning and life. Your interest is often the best teacher in a way that it encourages students to study what they like very actively. At the same time, competitions a good way to find interest, to gain comprehensive understandings of professions, and will later guide future development goals.The “Hi World” participants are all JPED High School Prep members, who still are very young and at a stage where they find interest through the process of trial and error.The members were especially interested in ancient Chinese architecture, and chose the Temple of Heaven as their research topic since it still is relatively accessible during the pandemic. Through participating in competitions, students confirm ideas through action, and act in confirmation, find interests in exploration, they gradually narrow down to formulate strong professional goals for the future.

The world is not for us to look at, it is a place to us to walk towards and away. As Kant said: To be cultured is to know the most beautiful things that the whole world is talking about and pondering. JPEDers take plans into action, they view the vast world through competition participation, gain self-affirmation and grow, and get praise and applauses in the process, but also encourage others to become passionate and confident figures.

Growth cannot be seen by the naked eye. JPED aims to bring the world to every students" eyes, from there they step towards the endless world.

During this summer vacation, I participated in the competition of Hi World World Culture Day,I learned a lot from this experience.

In March this year, we began to prepare for the competition. Everything went well when we determined the theme. We chose the form of documentary to participate in the competition. At that point, I thought this competition is just a normal one, not that difficult. Later, because of the epidemic situation, we took online classes and had to communicateeverythingonline. Because of the epidemic situation control, we couldn"t gather all people at the same time to shoot, which led us to gothrough the same part in several times. When we cut the video, we could only upload the video online, so many of our images were blurred. There are a lot of things to solvebefore the final day. Our documentary has been changed for several times. When participating in the competition, I didn"t think our speech was goodenough. We thought we couldn"t get any awards. The result was unexpected. We wonthe goldenprize.

““NSL is a very challenging competition, and the process of preparing for the competition undoubtedly improved my ability to a bigextent. As a freshmanof JPEDin September 2021, there wasmore than half year long preparation process has strengthened my connection with others and made me feel more attached on campus. As a student in the commercial department of the team, our business guide, Ms Zhang Lumin, was full of enthusiasm and inspiration, so I finally completed a very competitive business plan and a series of peripheral products, recorded a promotional video for the team and shared it with our account in station B. We have gained a lot. In half a year, we submitted additional challenges for all business sectors and finally won the awards of "Best Business Plan" and "Business Innovation" in the competition. In October 2021, I joined NSL with my classmates as the team leader and led the team to achieve the top five results in China. The process of this competition was hard, but thanks to the joint efforts of the team, we finally achieved satisfactory results. According to our pre-competition deployment, the team is divided into two key departments: the Commerce Department and the Engineering Department, which are respectively responsible for the presentation of the business plan of the rally and the inbound maintenance.

Before the competition, everyone felt that it was difficult to perform well. When we found that most of the engineering departments of other teams had four or five engineers, we could only assign two engineers because of the shortage of staff. One of the engineers was ill at that time, and everyone was very depressed. In addition, other teams have not only prepared some spare replacement cars, but also prepared a large number of spare batteries and other materials. We only have one racing car and three batteries. Everyone was depressed because of the lack of manpower and materials.

In order to alleviate the anxiety of my teammates, I temporarily held a mobilization meeting for the team members at that time, so that they could participate with a learning attitude, maintain a stable attitude and perform normally. I also arranged a member of the Ministry of Commerce and our instructor to participate in the inbound maintenance of the rally with me. We finally overcame the shortage of manpower and materials and achieved success.

This experience made me understand that as a leader, I should strive to improve the team"s cohesion and work efficiency, lead the team through difficulties, and ensure that the team"s goals are finally achieved.

““Hi! Hello, I"m Annie Hou! In the 2022 academic year, I participated in two competitions - the World Learning Cup and the SIC Youth Investment Competition. Through hard work, the World Learning Cup was promoted to the national competition, and SIC also won one gold and one silver. To be honest, it is not easy in the competition. We have to overcome difficulties all thetime - eg. difficulties in searchingmaterials, members willing to give up, difficulties infitting in the team, difficulties in being lazy... Fortunately, we had each other’s back, weencouraged each otherwhen needed, ran in with each other, clearly divided the work, and overcame so manydifficulties together. Of course, I learned a lot fromthe competition. Attendingthe World ScholarCup is a very unforgettable experience for me. At the same time, this competition is also the first academic competition in my life.
