今日訊！Intangible Cultural Heritage｜2022 “莞脈傳承” 東莞非遺進校園活動

On Monday 5th December, the primary years classes welcomed representatives from the Intangible Cultural Heritage Society to the school. The classes allowed the students to delve deeper to explore local customs and past times, some of which have their origins here in Dongguan. The activities included; grass weaving, dragon boat making, lion dancing, dragon fist kung fu, and making cantonese opera facial masks. We would like to say a big thank you to the Intangible Cultural Heritage Society for taking to time to share their wealth of knowledge and experience with the next generation.

12月5日日星期一，小學部迎來了非物質文化遺產協會的代表們。各班學生深入探索當地和過去的風俗，有些是起源于東莞。活動有編草、造龍舟、舞獅、龍拳功夫和粵劇臉譜制作。我們非常感謝非物質文化協會抽時間來學校與下一代分享知識和經驗。

Dongguan is suitable for the growth of water grass, which is a good material for weaving mats, known as Dongguan grass.

粵劇臉譜

“粵劇臉譜”是運用夸張的線條、強烈的色彩和象征性的圖案，勾畫出人物性格氣質和臉部特征的特殊化妝。

"Cantonese opera facial makeup" is a special makeup that uses exaggerated lines, strong colors and symbolic patterns to sketch characters" personalities and facial features.
