VPA冬令營

愉快的假期即將結束了，孩子們在這短短的一個月內中都做了什么呢？有這么一群孩子選擇留在了VPA，度過了充實且有收獲的一周！

考慮到部分家長的需要，VPA特別開設了冬令營課程，包括體能、拳擊、足球、手工、繪畫等全英文授課的優質課程，讓孩子們在玩中學、學中玩，真正實現寓教于樂。

玩中學、學中玩

寓教于樂

玩中學，也叫在游戲中學習。這個看似簡單的概念，實則有著深刻的意義。

它幫助孩子們通過發現來理解周圍的世界，讓他們在認知、社交、情感和身體上得到發展。

體能訓練

游戲的重要性已經被心理學家和科學家研究了一個多世紀。

玩中學的一個重點是孩子們的自主能動性和對事物的控制能力。能動性是指在游戲中的主動性、決策性和自我選擇性，這也能讓孩子們感受到認可和信任。

足球訓練

玩中學究竟能學到什么

當孩子們選擇玩的時候，他們不會想“現在我要從這個活動中學到一些東西。” 然而，他們的游戲為所有發展領域都準備很多學習的機會。

課堂游戲

發展和學習是復雜而全面的，但所有發展領域的技能都可以通過游戲來促進，包括體能、認知、社交和情感技能。

共同商議

游戲為重要的社會和情感發展奠定了基礎。通過游戲，孩子們學會與他人建立聯系，分享、協商和解決沖突，以及學習自我維護的技能、領導能力和團隊合作。

拳擊訓練

此外，游戲滿足了孩子們表達想象力、好奇心和創造力的基本需求，這些都驅使著孩子們去探索知識、找到快樂。

手工課

孩子們在玩耍中學習如何:

制定計劃并堅持到底

從嘗試和錯誤中學習，運用想象力和解決問題的技能

將數學、科學和運動等概念應用到現實生活中

用邏輯、分析的方式進行推理

與同學溝通，協商不同的觀點

發展創造力，探索美學和藝術

從成就中獲得滿足感

不管是冬令營還是平日的教學，VPA都致力于通過各種有趣的活動讓孩子們真正愛上學習，讓學習不再枯燥無味。我們希望大家在放假期間也不要忽略了孩子們每天的學習和成長，在玩樂中引導著孩子去思考、探究。

新的學期即將開啟，我們期待著見到每一位孩子的笑臉！對于那些很遺憾沒能參加冬令營的孩子們，我們夏令營見！

VPA Winter Camp

The winter break is coming to an end. What did the children do in this short month? A group of children chose to stay at VPA and had a meaningful and rewardingweek!

In consideration of the needs of some parents, VPA has specially set up winter camp courses, including fitness, boxing, soccer, handicrafts, painting and other high-quality courses taught in English, so that children can learn and play at the same time.

Playful Learning

Learning Through Play

Learning through play, appears to be a simple notion, but has profound meaning.

It helps children make sense of the world around them through discovery, allowing them to develop cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically.

Fitness

The importance of play has been studied by various psychologists and scientists.

An important aspect of play is children’s agency and control over the experience. Agency refers to children’s initiative, decision-making and self-choice in play.

What can we learn from play?

When children choose to play, they are not thinking "Now I am going to learn something from this activity." Yet their play creates powerful learning opportunities across all areas of development.

Playing during the class

Development and learning are complex and holistic, and yet skills across all developmental domains can be encouraged through play, including motor, cognitive and social and emotional skills.

Communicating and negotiating

Through play, children learn to forge connections with others, and to share, negotiate and resolve conflicts, as well as learn self-advocacy skills, leadership and group skills.

Boxing

More generally, play satisfies a basic human need to express imagination, curiosity and creativity.

Doing handicrafts

Children at play learn how to:

Make a plan and follow through

Learn from trial and error, using imagination and problem-solving skills

Apply concepts of quantity, science and movement to real life

Reason in a logical, analytical manner by acting on objects

Communicate with classmates and negotiate

Develop creativity and explore aesthetics and artistry

Derive satisfaction from their own accomplishments

Whether it is winter camp or daily teaching, VPA is committed to make children love learning through a variety of interesting activities, so that learning is no longer boring. We hope that parents will not neglect children"s learning and growth every day during the holiday, and guide children to think and explore in play.

The new semester is about to start, and we are looking forward to seeing the smiling faces of every child! For those who are unfortunately failed to attend the winter camp, see you at summer camp!
