The new year is finally here! Upon the new year, students must have had their own good expectations. With rational analysis, good expectations can be turned into specific goals. It takes time for research to turn these goals to reality. On the way of growth, you are constantly making breakthroughs every day. You set sail with your good expectations for the new year and I believe you will make great achievements. Today, let us listen to the sharing of Michelle Jie from Class 5, Grade 4.

我最想和大家分享的一個詞是內驅力，因為內驅力是所有力量的源泉。也是我們新學期最應蓄積的力量。那么，什么是內驅力呢？請大家從我講的兩個故事中尋找一下答案。

The phrase I would like to share with you most is inner drive, because it is the source of all strength. It is also the strength that we should accumulate the most in the new semester. So, what is inner drive? You will find the answer from the two stories I am about to share.

第一個故事是我的爺爺，我的爺爺是一位有著近六十年黨齡的老黨員，爺爺上學時條件非常艱苦，每天要走十幾里的山路去上學，放學后，還要干數不清的家務。但我的爺爺始終堅信知識改變命運，終于他通過自己的努力走出了大山。爺爺走出大山，走向更廣闊的天地，靠的是內驅力，爺爺身上的內驅力是什么呢？是堅定的信念，是明確的目標。這是一個人的內驅力的源泉。

The first story is about my grandfather. My grandfather has been a Communist party member for nearly 60 years. The conditions for my grandfather’s education were very difficult. He had to walk more than ten miles to go to school every day. Endless chores awaited him after school as well. But my grandfather always believed that knowledge can change destiny, and finally he walked out of the mountains through his own efforts. Grandpa stepped out of the mountains and walked towards a wider world, relying on inner drive. What is Grandpa’s inner drive? It is a firm belief and a clear goal. It is the source of a person"s inner drive.

第二個故事是我的京劇老師，我的京劇老師到京劇團學習刀馬旦，每天起早貪黑，身體常常受傷。但老師都不怕，因為老師唱了一輩子的戲，愛了一輩子的戲，同學們，老師身上的內驅力是什么呢？對，是興趣，是熱愛。

The second story is about my Peking Opera teacher. My Peking Opera teacher went to the Peking Opera Troupe to learn Daomadan. He/She worked around the clock every day, and his/her body was often injured. But my teacher was not afraid, because he/she has sung and loved Peking Opera all his/her life. students, what is the inner driving of my teacher? Yes, it is interest, it is passion.

我為什么講內驅力呢？是因為內驅力不僅能成就自己，也能激勵他人，更能給我們的校園帶來正能量。新的學期，我們要保持積極向上的姿態，內驅力將是我們前進的動力源泉。

Why did I choose to talk about inner drive? It is because inner drive can not empower oneself, but also inspire others, and bring positive energy to our campus. In the new semester, we must maintain a positive attitude, and inner drive will be the source of motivation for us to move forward.

我們每個人要找到自己內驅力，首先要有堅定的信念，有明確的目標，第二要能夠找到我們的興趣點，全身心的去熱愛。

For each of us to find our own inner drive, we must firstly have firm beliefs and clear goals, and secondly, we must be able to find our interests and be passionate about them wholeheartedly.

同學們，我們已經站在了新學期的起點上，我們已經開啟了新的征程，請同學們問問自己幾個問題：對生命的熱情已經被點燃了嗎？你探索知識的激情已經被激發了嗎？你除了點燃自己，還將以怎樣的方式怎樣點燃他人，溫暖他人呢？
