At the end of our Crossover games UOI Y1&2 had their first end of unit house competition! With everyone outside on a lovely February morning, the students were all set to compete and have fun.?

Crossover House Competition Y1 & Y2

Y1 & Y2 學(xué)院競(jìng)賽

Each house needed to display the values we have been working on throughout the year, as they worked together to create a team plan and assign roles. When the 1st?round of matches began there was a flurry of running, tagging, and saving as teams strived to take opponent’s balls, evade defenders, and save teammates that weren’t quite quick enough!?

在競(jìng)賽中，從制定計(jì)劃、分配任務(wù)到團(tuán)隊(duì)合作，學(xué)生們均體現(xiàn)出其學(xué)院的品質(zhì)和價(jià)值觀。第一輪競(jìng)賽中，學(xué)生們?cè)谫悎?chǎng)上奔跑、追逐、防守。各學(xué)院的參賽者都努力地?fù)寠Z對(duì)手的球，躲避防守者，并保護(hù)同伴。

Teachers were constantly on the lookout for student’s displaying leadership, perseverance and empathy, all students were potential house MVP’s and with the chance of receiving this special medal all the students were the perfect teammates! ?

孩子們?cè)谫悎?chǎng)上展現(xiàn)出了領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力、意志力、同理心，與同伴相互配合，珠聯(lián)璧合。所有學(xué)生都是潛在的學(xué)院“MVP”（最有價(jià)值參賽者），均有機(jī)會(huì)獲得這枚特殊的獎(jiǎng)?wù)隆?/p>

After each match the competing houses shook hands or high fived the opposing house, showcasing tremendous sportsmanship and great attitudes, they refreshed with water then immediately got planning underway for the next round of matches. Students displayed great flexibility in changing roles, changing plans, and working together throughout the house competition, our sporting values were everywhere to see and hear.

雖然這是學(xué)院之間的競(jìng)賽，但各學(xué)院的學(xué)生在賽后都以友好的方式握手和擊掌，展現(xiàn)出良好的體育競(jìng)賽精神和態(tài)度。繼而，他們?yōu)橄乱惠啽荣愖鰷?zhǔn)備，迅速地調(diào)整比賽戰(zhàn)略、模式、計(jì)劃，呈現(xiàn)出超強(qiáng)的靈活性、適應(yīng)性和正確的體育價(jià)值觀。

At the end of the fiercely and fairly contested matches a winner was crowned. In year 1, Panda house came 3rdplace, Leopards took 2nd, but, with 3 wins out of 3 matches the house winners were the Terrific Tigers!!!!? In year 2, there was a three-way split for second however Leopard’s were the overall winners with three wins. Go Leopards!!

在激烈且公平的競(jìng)賽結(jié)束后，我們的冠軍誕生了。一年級(jí)的熊貓學(xué)院獲得第三名；豹子學(xué)院第二名；冠軍是在三場(chǎng)比賽中都取得勝利的老虎學(xué)院！二年級(jí)的熊貓學(xué)院和老虎學(xué)院均以卓越的成績(jī)獲得第二名，總冠軍是連續(xù)獲得三場(chǎng)比賽勝利的豹子學(xué)院！

The stage was set for the house MVP’s to be given their medals and house points, each displaying a quality that helped their house compete and thrive. Ru, Liang Liang, Paxton and Evan were chosen by the teachers for leading their teams with determination, empathy and most importantly, big smiles and happiness!?In Year 2, the MVP’s winners were Rambo, Juho, William Zhang and Ruixi for showing good sportsmanship behaviour and determination.

學(xué)生們均全力以赴地為學(xué)院競(jìng)爭(zhēng)，獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)卟粌H被授予獎(jiǎng)牌，同時(shí)為學(xué)院贏取積分。孩子們都有良好的體育精神與道德的行為、意志。老師們認(rèn)為MVP獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)邞?yīng)具有意志力和同理心，以歡樂、愉快的方式領(lǐng)導(dǎo)所帶領(lǐng)的團(tuán)隊(duì)。一年級(jí)的獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)撸篟u、Liang Liang、Paxton、Evan；二年級(jí)的獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)撸篟ambo、Juho、William Zhang、Ruixi。

Year 5 – Handball House Competition

五年級(jí)手球競(jìng)賽

The Year 5 students arrived at the lesson overflowing with enthusiasm to take part in the handball competition. Due to the uneven numbers in two of the houses, it was decided to amalgamate the houses. All pupils showed maturity and accepted the decision and quickly began to sort out positions for the first game. The games were all endtoend with some excellent passing, receiving and overlapping play. After three rounds of exciting games, it was time to see who the overall winners were. Tied in second place were the Leopards and Tigers, and the Dragons and Pandas won. Now it was time for the MVP awards. Once again it"s so difficult to decide as all pupils were outstanding. After several minutes contemplation, Mr Andy and Mr Dean decided on the following. Wendy, Diya, Legend, Harvey and Hayden were to receive the MVP awards. Well done all of Year 5.

五年級(jí)學(xué)生滿懷熱情地參加手球比賽。由于兩個(gè)學(xué)院人數(shù)不均，我們決定合并學(xué)院。學(xué)生們愉快地接受了這個(gè)決定，并迅速開始為首場(chǎng)比賽做準(zhǔn)備。賽場(chǎng)上出現(xiàn)了迅速敏捷的傳球、接球和重疊的動(dòng)作。經(jīng)過三輪精彩絕倫的比賽，并列第二的是豹子學(xué)院和老虎學(xué)院，龍學(xué)院和熊貓學(xué)院脫穎而出成為冠軍。所有的學(xué)生均表現(xiàn)出色，老師難以評(píng)選本次競(jìng)賽的MVP。經(jīng)過幾分鐘的沉思，Mr. Andy和Mr. Dean做出了決定，MVP有：Wendy、Diya、Legend、Harvey、Hayden。五年級(jí)的每一位學(xué)生都是杰出的參賽者！

What a successful week of sporting competition and fun, with each and every student in giving maximum effort this was a fantastic tournament, making future PE unit house competitions a certainty, well done everyone.
